An annual tradition in many Carpathian villages, the Spring Sheepherder's Parade marks the beginning of the herding season on the Polonyni (mountain pastures). This parade took place in the town of Дубове (Doo-bo-vey) in the Tyachiv region of Transcarpathia, Ukraine on May 23rd, 2009.
Here, several musical ensembles are carried through the village on horse carts from the House of Culture to the stadium, where a stage had been erected. The first band seen in the video is the Маньо «Manyo» band (aka the Técső Band) from Tyachiv, Ukraine.
